Want to save someone’s life? You may have seen that Birthline of Loveland is looking for volunteers to partner with us in our mission of saving the lives of the unborn and empowering families. But what does “volunteering at Birthline” look like?
Many volunteers commit three hours of their time each week to Birthline, with either a morning or an afternoon shift on a weekday. During our hours of operation, there are opportunities for every skill set and personality type! They can include working in our boutique – washing and sorting the donations we receive of baby and maternity clothing, and preparing layettes and outfits for clients. Volunteers may also have the opportunity to receive training and become certified Client Advocates – someone who works one-on-one with clients providing friendship, mentoring, lay-counseling, referrals and support. Do you prefer to serve in an administrative or marketing aspect? There are always needs in our office for data entry or statistic recording, writing content for social media and marketing outlets, and more. Perhaps you don’t have as much time to spare during the week. Some volunteers are able to work from home as church liaisons, resource coordinators or as members of our Board of Directors. As we expand our men’s ministry, we are seeking out men who can work with us in offering support to new dads and men who are learning about true fatherhood.
Are you extroverted or introverted? Are you still in school and looking for a way to impact the issue of life in our community? Are you retired and have a heart for the next generation? Are you a parent who feels empathy for women facing difficult decisions for themselves and their babies? Whether you have a background in mentoring, in being a parent or are simply passionate about the sanctity of life and want to make a difference, ALL experience levels are valuable at Birthline!
